Medical Cannabis Books
• Vangasena’s Cikitsasarasamgraha - Academics argue, but this book has either 'the', or one of the earliest incontestable reference to Cannabis as a medicinal substance. First published in India in the eleventh or at the latest, twelfth centuary.
• Marijuana Herbal Cookbook. Tom Flowers. A slim cookbook with a great deal of marijuana-related information covering much more than usual cookery books. The last chapters deal with preparation for medical use, and guidelines for treating various illnesses.
• How to Grow Marijuana Indoors for Medicinal Use. G. W. Carver. The first chapter of this book explains the history and political repression marijuana, and some of its medical applications. The rest of the book is a very well-presented growing guide, pack ed with quality diagrams and colour photos.
• Cooking With Cannabis. Adam Gottlieb. This booklet provides an excellent overview of the science of cooking with cannabis, as well as plenty of interesting recipes.
• Cannabis Alchemy. D. Gold. Excellent little book full of practical and technical information including sections on how to prepare cannabis oil, isomerise, enhance potency and make hashish.
• Cooking With Ganja. Eric. An excellent, informative and good value cannabis cookbook.
• The Hemp Cookbook. Todd Dacotto. (Healing Arts Press). Covers cooking with hemp (non THC form of cannabis).
• Harvest Green. Ian Bayram. Well organised information including how to cultivate 9-18 ounces of sensimilla every eight weeks.
• Marijuana: The Forbidden Medicine. Lester Grinspoon. James Bakalar. (Yale University Press). Dr. Lester Grinspoon, Professor of Psychiatry at Harvard University has been one of the most outspoken of his profession regarding the medical persecution of cannabis. Also author of ‘Marijuana Reconsidered’.
