The Cannabis Trust is being set up to provide rational and factual information to the public regarding the use of cannabis in society, and to support the interests of cannabis users and non cannabis users alike regarding its use.
To these ends the Cannabis Trust will:
• establish a board of trustees to be representative of the interests of cannabis users and society in the widest possible sense.
• establish a management committee to professionally manage the daily work of the Trust.
• recruit local organisers and a nationwide network of supporters and volunteers.
• organise educational events aimed at attracting a wide range of people. including local public meetings, film shows, talks at schools and colleges, club nights, concerts, marches, rallies and an annual 'cannabis march and festival'.
• provide services including a 24 hour 'cannabis information line' offering legal, medical and personal advice and information for cannabis users and non cannabis users, including concerned parents or school teachers.
• publish information in the form of flyers, stickers, posters, magazines, books, websites, CDs, DVD's, video, TV documentaries etc. This may include placing paid advertising in other media and working with the press
• fund and publish research into cannabis and its many uses, commission opinion surveys and other social policy research.
• raise funds to support cannabis related projects both in Britain and worldwide.
